Installing HireZoot

Step-by-step guide to install and activate the free plugin on your WordPress site and verify your job board is ready for listings.

Prerequisites

Before installing HireZoot, ensure your site meets these requirements:

Backup your site before installing any new plugin to prevent issues.

Install HireZoot either from the WordPress admin search or by uploading the plugin files manually.

Use this method if you want WordPress to download and install the plugin for you.

Open the Plugins screen

Go to Plugins > Add New.

Search for the plugin

In the search field, type HireZoot and let WordPress search the plugin directory.

When the result appears, locate HireZoot in the list.

Install the plugin

Click Install Now on the HireZoot plugin card.

When the installation finishes, WordPress changes the button state and shows the activation option.

Activate the plugin

Click Activate from the same plugin screen.

After activation, the plugin becomes available in your WordPress admin menu.

Use this method if you prefer to upload the plugin files to your server yourself.

Download the plugin ZIP

Save the ZIP file as wp-job-openings.zip on your computer.

Upload the plugin directory

Upload wp-job-openings.zip to the wp-content/plugins directory on your web server.

Extract the ZIP file in that directory so WordPress can load the plugin files.

Activate the plugin

Find Hirezoot in the plugin list, then click Activate.

After you activate the HireZoot plugin, WordPress adds an HR Role to your site.

The HR role only has permission to manage job-related options.
